Before Your Consultation ...

We'll mail you a welcome packet containing a Personal Planning Inventory & Assessment. It is very important that you return this worksheet to our office at least THREE DAYS before your consultation either by mail, fax, or e-mail. You will also need to gather certain documents and bring them to your appointment.

Your welcome packet, with all the details you need for your appointment - will be mailed to you as soon as you've scheduled your appointment by phone, or at the bottom of this page.

1. The Day of Your Consultation

You can locate our office by looking for the Biggby coffee shop on Allegan Street. It's kitty-corner from the Michigan State Capital in Lansing and we're on the 7th floor.

The purpose of your consultation will be:

1. To educate you about the law and what would happen if you died with your current plan, or with no plan in place at all.

2. To identify whether there is a good fit between you and the lawyer who will become your trusted advisor and personal lawyer.

Assuming that there is a good fit between our firm and your family, you will begin working with us immediately (in the same session) to design a plan that will accomplish your goals.

2. Signing Conference

Once we have completed the design of your plan, you will schedule a convenient time to sign your documents. We have a unique process of reviewing documents with you, that makes your plan so easy to understand, that you will have absolutely no doubt that your plan will accomplish all of your goals.

Once you sign your documents, your estate plan will have come to life and is legally valid.

You will however, be able to make changes at no charge for up to 90 days.

3. Binder Delivery

At our third and final meeting during the "planning stage" of our relationship, we will verify that all of your asset transfers are moving forward on schedule, and guide you to passing on more than just your financial assets.

Ensuring Your Plan Continues to Work

At no additional charge, we review your plan at least every three years and keep you informed of changes in the law, legal tips, and best practice that can affect your family and your wealth.

If a review once every three years is not soon enough, you can participate in our VIP membership program, which offers annual reviews, includes the cost of updates, as well as other valuable services.

Finally, we are always here for you and we don't charge for phone calls. We want to speak with you and serve you as your lawyer for life.

There are three options for you to get our support:

Schedule a free 15-minute Phone Consultation

Schedule a 2-hour Family Wealth Planning Session
